Umri Begumganj, Gonda: A motorcycle yatra launched from Vadnagar in Gujarat and travelling to Varanasi as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday reached the Tarabganj Assembly constituency on Saturday.
The yatra received a grand welcome at Sisai intersection under the leadership of Tarabganj MLA Prem Narayan Pandey. The riders were also welcomed at Belser intersection before the main programme was organised at the BJP public relations office in Tarabganj.
Katara MLA Bawan Singh, Gaura MLA Prabhat Verma and MLA Vinay Kumar Dwivedi joined the programme and welcomed the participants. Tarabganj MLA Prem Narayan Pandey felicitated the riders with garlands and presented them with mementoes.
After the programme, the motorcycle yatra proceeded towards the Mankapur Assembly constituency as part of its onward journey to Varanasi.
Block Pramukh Manoj Kumar Pandey, Belser Block Pramukh Rajendra Pratap Singh, Guddu Singh, Zila Panchayat members Ramdhok Mishra and Vinod Kumar Pandey, Tarabganj Nagar Panchayat Chairman Kamlesh Pandey, Chandra Prakash Singh, Raju Singh, BJP district treasurer Triyugi Narayan Shukla, Kisan Morcha district vice-president Surendra Singh, Surjeet Singh and a large number of party office-bearers and workers were present.
The programme was conducted by BJP district secretary Ajay Singh Pintu.
